I have a French foreign exchange student. I’m trying to make her feel at home for the holidays. Thank you for this video.

As someone who was brought up as Catholic in the USA, our family always celebrated after midnight mass, and it just continued into the next day.

What a perfect metaphor for modern French politics: “It’s full of things we don’t want to think about but it’s delicious.”

There is a little difference between amuse-bouche and hors d'oeuvres. They aren't quite the same.

Happy new year. Thank you for your lovely videos, I love them, however I have to make a small comment. It is common etiquette not to waive your fork while eating or speaking at the table, and not only french, but international.

In Vietnam, Christmas is considered a young person's party holiday. It has nothing to do with the family. People who are Big City and Sophisticated will ride out on their motorcycles to see the decorations and lights and get drunk.

Dam tough crowd. It does make sense that buddhist countries don't celebrate Christmas in the traditional sense since they aren't going to adopt a holiday that isn't in line with their religion. I thought it was only Japan but I guess it maybe all of Asia.

I never seen peoples to eat white pudding in Christmas, it's not a tradition in West of France, and if isn't a tradition in West I want to know where this tradition is native because I never heard of that.

While I wouldn't deny others the freedom to celebrate their beliefs, it calls into question the claim of separation of church and state. I've witnessed, sadly, its encroachment over the years I've lived here. While it isn't crammed down one's throat, as it was in America, it is becoming increasingly blatant. Alas, one cannot convince those who ascribe to these beliefs that they are infringing on the freedom of others.
