UNIFIL - the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - has been operating in south Lebanon for the past 40 years. First set up in 1978 to monitor a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, UNIFIL has grown in size and responsibilities, with now over 10,000 peacekeepers on the ground. Our correspondents take a closer look at their day-to-day tasks in a zone that has witnessed repeated conflicts in recent decades.

In every country's capital a unit of un peace keeping force should be there. Every nation should have to give army to united nations force according to his population or 1% of his army compulsary to un force. And un force in a country should have army personal of every country except home country army personel. Un peace keeping force should be strong and should have head quarter in every country either rich or poor.

@@rahulnishad71 I mean this peacekeeping mission which is there to observe the border between Israel and Lebanon, if Israel is going to attack Lebanon is not to destroy its population or gain territory, but to destroy the terrorists of Hezbollah which do poses a threat to Israeli civilians, basically there is no need for this mission and these resources and money could be better used in other more needed countries like Mali, RDC or CAR
