One of my favorite movies ever! I saw a lot of reviews and analyses and watched the movie a couple times. What makes it so special in my opinion is that one can interpret it in so many ways. Because there is so much going on.. growing up, chasing dreams, failing, friendship... Everytime I watch it I relate to Frances in a different way. It's like the movie is changing while I am changing.

Love that! I just got married and we used that monologue Frances has at that dinner as one of our readings. It’s such a beautiful movie.

This is the only video I've seen of yours but, hell! Frances Ha is one of my favorite movies ever and I think it means that we're not always meant to be what we think of ourselves in life. And that's totally okay and just fine! I enjoyed your video as much as the movie itself, thanks for sharing your relation with it :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) It is hard pill to swallow, though, for sure. Perhaps one way of looking at it is what we believe - or hope - we're meant to be only needs a slight adjustment in order to be actualized, just as Frances realizes she isn't meant to become a dancer as much as she NEEDS to become a choreographer; or Frances's acceptance of Sophie not only as her best friend, but ALSO as a wife to a man Sophie loves as much as she loves Frances; and ultimately Frances's acceptance of herself not only as the young woman she's been, but ALSO as the adult she's growing into. Each only slight adjustments in perception. But each have dramatic effects on Frances journey toward personal fulfillment.... I sound stoned... I'm not stoned.... :D Thank you for your comment, Tania.
