In this occasion Francesca plays the "Zimmermann" violin, which belonged to Shimon Korngold and was made by Yaakov Zimmermann, both victims of the Holocaust.

The two pizzicati at 4:42 are pure magic. What followed immediately after was also a stroke of genius. Why is it so difficult for every orchestra (I do mean EVERY orchestra) to keep up in the third section? Even in studio recordings, they are always just a smidgen behind the soloist's tempo.

Wow, what a talent she has ! I thought she had a famous Cremona violin, but that violin was created by a certain Jewish genius by the name of Yaakov (James) Zimmermann (German for Carpenter), who perished in the Nazi Holocaust !!

The style and passion were all there, fantastic performance! I noticed that your low g string notes are really rich with a very deep tone. I don't know if it's the strings you use or that your violin just really likes the low notes, but those g-string notes are gorgeous compared to all of the other strings.
