Francescatti plays Paganini (1/3)

Many highly regard Zino's recording of Paganini, I believe there are 3 recordings and this one seems to be oop, I presonally prefer Shmuel Ashkenasi's recording but this is yet another chance to experience she unique sound of Francescatti
I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

I had the privilege of performing with this great artist on two different times during my time with Toledo Symphony. His sound was very powerful, like a bull dozer, of great beauty. His sound was so rich. No one sound like him.

As a student, this was the first recording of the Paganini concerto I heard. I lent it to someone and never saw it again. Thanks for posting it.

what can i say - i had never heard any of Francescatti's recordings before YT and this was recommended to me by OMB which i thank her for. it really is a wonderful listen. none of us of course had the privilage of hearing the ultimate master paganini but from what i understand this is probably the closest we will get to it :-)

I have listened many recordings of the Paganini violin concert nr 1, this one, Shmuel Askenasi, Permann....etc, etc. The one I like best is Michael Rabin (1958?) Personal taste of course! I dont think the Rabin recording is on KZbin, but you can find it on Spotify, and also Askinasis recording is on Spotify.
