Love your master classes. I find the way you build on techniques from one piece to the next very helpful. And all these points are great. Finding a theme for painting is something I hadn't thought of before, but it's what writers use for helping structure their novels, too. Great info as always.

Do you use watercolour grounds on a canvas or do you attach your paper to a canvas?

No this is actually a block of paper glued on all sides and I'm painting on the top sheet. It allows the paper to stay flat while painting pretty much, and also avoid having to tape it before starting.
