pretend that the muzzle of a side-by-side shotgun is the two nostrils of a human nose?

how do you aim a side-by-side shotgun both eyes open (one eye for each barrel), both eyes closed (one eye for each barrel) or one eye closed?

* Unless you're shooting slugs you don't aim a shotgun, you point it. Which eye one uses depends on which eye is the dominant one. Once that's determined, one can proceed from there. It's best if one shoots with both eyes open, but in your case, IMO, you and everyone around you would be safer if you kept both of your eyes closed when your around any firearm.😁😁

Yes, I can see that, as on reflection, there's not a lot to get hold of up front.

Choke tubes in a SxS is a NoNo

* If you don't understand the advantages of being able to change chokes on a double barrelled bird gun so as to better meet the existing challenges that are presented in the field, then I can only assume that you know very little about bird hunting. The same applies to anyone favoring a single trigger over a double triggered shotgun. Double triggers give the hunter an instantaneous choice of which choke would be the best one to use on any given bird. A single trigger with a selective barrel devise is a joke in a hunting gun, but fine for clay target shooting. An automatic safety is just an added safety feature that can usually be made into a manual safety if so desired. It's always a good idea to have the gun's safety on until the gun is brought to the shoulder. This guy must be a claybird target shooter. Plain extractors are favorable in a hunting gun, if you are a reloader, or if you want to keep the environment clean and the landowner happy. What's really nice is that Franchi gives the purchaser a lot of options. Kind of reminds me of days long gone when most manufacturers operated this way on a regular basis. Thank you Franchi. PS. This guy keeps calling this gun a Frenchy, it's a Franchi.
