Hey Becky some new car parts will come pre lubed and some will have a protective grease all over it so it won't rust. This grease can be sticky. Sometimes the grease or lube will get on the box and it will appear to be used. Check the part for installation or wear marks to see if it has been used or not. The grease is called cosmolene.

I've used an ultra sonic pest repeller for years and it seems to work. I use it in the garage so the pets are only in there occasionally, mostly passing through. It does not seem to bother the pups.

Wide 3" tape is all I use now, covers more area and before with smaller tape I'd make multiple passes on boxes to make sure it stays closed and don't need to do that as often now. Some boxes and weight makes me feel I need to still secure it better but overall it's great.

I have 4 cats at home and use those ultra sonic pest repellants. The device doesn’t hurt the cats at all, and I haven’t seen any more mice this winter. Word of caution - depending on the brand, those repellants do die. I plugged in 6 around the house at thanksgiving and have need to replace 4 of them since

use diatomaceous earth for insect pests, it's not toxic to animals, and if you get the plain kind if the animal ingests a little it will only get rid of worms in their intestines. some friends use it on their goats once a season!

I swear by diatomaceous earth. Get the food grade, completely safe for everyone in the house except any creepy crawlies. I would dust my German Shepard with it, my garden, around baseboards, carpets, windows. It works fantastic and is completely safe. It isn’t “instant”, but does work. It’s like glass to anything with an exoskeleton. Slices them up, dries them out. They go bye bye. You get the puffer thingy to spread it and a small bottle will last you years.

the sonic electric rodent repellents, Doesnt work. i came home one night and found a mouse sitting below one eating the Peanut butter on the mouse trap i have set! I put the mouse trap below the Sonic Repellants to draw them in, apperently, the Peanut butter won. Returned the sonic repellent back to walmart the next day, even the freakin mouse traps!!!! i kept the Peanut butter tho. it had powers over me too lol
