The first twenty minutes were really awesome, I loved it. It was great stuff. Why is it that people in the church act like the only things married women can do for God is working in the home under the "leadership" of a husband? I'm both called to preach AND be spiritual leader of my home AND... I'm not a man! God didn't tell Deborah she couldn't be a judge OVER ISRAEL (while married) because she was a woman. He PUT HER there. Not every man is capable of leading... thats why God chose Deborah.

@Luke Minaker - Luke I think you are reading way too much into this. His wife could have said something that was addressed to men as well, but she was asked to say a message that was specifically intended for women. That is appropriate, is it not? Could it have crossover help for men too? Yep. But this particular message was intended for women.

check yourselves... are you who are creating division within the body simultaneously calling yourself someone who is surrendered to Christ? Who are you to judge someone else's servant? Where is your love? All I hear is condemnation and judgment which are not fruits of the Spirit. *Romans 14:4: 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? Did you read my whole comment Greg? My point is that most evangelicals - including Francis - have a double standard when it comes to women "in authority". If Lisa was saying something true and wise and God-inspired - then why would Francis preface it with "for the women, to the women"? How can you say that a woman should not be allowed to preach to men, but at the same time tell the world how much you -as a man- learned from her? It's ridiculous.

Should a woman preach? Francis: "I asked Lisa to share some thoughts with the women, to the women...". But then later he goes on to say how much he's learned from what Lisa said. So was there value in her message for the men as well? Or did her words only have real spiritual value for people with a double X chromasome? If there is encouragement, or value, or spiritual insight in what a person says - whether they are male or not, should it not be celebrated rather than lamely apologized for?

hahahhahah the guy below talks about minorities not having big churches.. hmm... td jakes, creflo dollar, bishop eddie long... gotta love how arrogant people are and judge Godly people like Francis and lisa. just like when you read the bible you have to read it in harmony. You gotta understand ministers and watch their whole ministry not make judgements based on your preconceived ideas.. and catering to those who sound good.. HE SPEAKS HARSH!! wow.. people are dumb
