This song is literally my life. I understand the emotion behind this song on a very personal level. It's not that you want something just for the fact that you're jealous, but having that person in your life that pushes you to be the best person you can is something you want so bad. That person you can hold and care for. The one that you can tell anything to because they love you more than anything. You look at your friends in relationships and see how much they love and care for each other. you just want that closeness. You want to hold them. Kiss them. Whisper in their ear how much you love them while cuddling on the couch wrapped in a blanket and watching a movie. One day mate. One day you and I will find the people for us. We will never have to look at our friends and wish we had that person in our life that loves us that much. One day we will find them. Until then, stay strong. My best friend showed it to me a while back, when I was struggling with my sexuality, saying it reminded him of me. We stood in his kitchen and I immediately started crying, so he just held me. Back then I thought I was cupiosexual and cupioromantic and really grieved my dreams and wishes to have a beautiful relationship. Well fast forward to now, about a year later… I now consider myself demisexual and demiromantic, having fallen deeply in love with said best friend, but knowing exactly that thid will never happen.
