Iain McNay comes across as the most human and enlightened in these conversations. Enlightenment is not awkward. it is not closed and limited. it is not taking the "solemn and composed" stance. Being open, being able to respond with "fine thank you " when someone asks, how are you?. All the rest is a silly game. I have seen spiritual life, gurus "life from both sides now" and have deeply and earnestly questioned it. I have watched these conversations many times from the mindset of "Francis is the one who knows" and Ian is lost in wanting to know from the mind". After eight. years of really examining this and trying to clearly discern the truth, I can say that gurudom is created by the student and freedom-the freedom students claim to want is only possible once, this conditioning falls away, and that conditioning was once tied into my attachment to this "idea" of the guru/teacher/ the one who knows and thank god I am free of that. Thanks Rupert and Francis for all your help. I appreciate you to death! with love eternally.

if I understand wys right, in other words, you would agree totally to the saying of francis "i only listen to questions and only listen to the answers" meaning that him is speaking at the same time that he´s sensing the 'no-thing' and therefore we all can reach it with the same comprehension or openness, and that meaning the real truth

I guess, because it can be random, it comes down to grace... And though it may appear a person has done nothing, in fact, may have done much in a subtle way. Then there is the interconnectivity of everything. If I awaken, then the ripples of that goes through the entire creation.

A glimpse into the reality of consciousness is the entry onto the path, the beginning of the path. As Francis says, what follows is the self realization process (the elimination of the residuals of ignorance).
