There's something special about the message in the song. I've gotten the sense that it's about two people, probably very young, who have been through a lot of individual hardship and they are trying to come together and be a couple despite all the things that make each other complicated. There may even be some shared pain between them, since one speaker is asking for forgiveness and to dance again. It underscores how hard relationships are, because two very different and complex people are trying to share their lives together while being weighed down by the problems their own genetic histories and families give them, the hardships and pressures put on them by the universe/world around them, and the issues that can arise by trying to bind two souls together. But they are trying their best to make it work, because the love feels real. There is something very inspiring about that.

Francis prob doesn't like being compared to Phil as Francis seems so unique and doing his own thing. Don't take it negatively Francis, you are your own musician and incredibly unique in everything you do. You do happen to sound like Phil but I think that is only a strength as it is a crazy good soothing voice style. I've watched all your videos since listening to this and I'm a fan for life already.
