Yes, I’m a woman and this greatly bothers me. First of all it created the idea that the order of the words is some kind of power and/or value indicator in the first place. Why even create that bizarre idea, as if saying “brothers” first is somehow elevating men at the expense of women? Why would we even buy into such an idea? By changing the wording, we are actually creating the false issue. It’s intentionally divisive and doesn’t even improve conditions of safety or value for women. It just pits us against each other for no purpose
