It's strange. In a sense, Franco accomplished his goals. He died peacefully after a long reign, and he restored the monarchy and passed rulership on to his designated heir. However, Spain has changed greatly since Franco's government. Has the nation turned out the way he wanted it to? I think Franco would be displeased at the state of Spain today. I certainly am.
