I had chronic back muscle spasms and each time it took 2 weeks to feel normal. one week you can get around ok, next week you are ok, but when I got those muscle strains for 3 days I wouldnt be able to get out of the house, his injury he was still able to function a bit.. and it also makes you wonder if its more than muscle.

100%...Been there and done that...including two ambulance rides over 40 years...like getting shot when it really goes out and you can't even breathe without excruciating pain...Two weeks is about right for complete healing without spasms...And very little can be done about it...It just takes time, as you said.

I’m sorry to hear this about Francisco. He’s one of my favorites. I have two herniated disks in my lower spine and one thing I know is back pain and stiffness don’t go away quickly. I would love to see Lindor play, but I don’t think he will be able to. Maybe if we can make it to the post season, he can DH.

Francisco....get healthy for the Playoffs...Your teammates got these last 6 Games...Get better and know that you are a BIG inspiration to all your teammates in the dugout because they all know that without you the METS would not have a Playoff shot...!!

Anyone whose had back problems knows it's going to be at least a week before you start to feel better.....then weeks later before your back to normal. I think he's done at least until the post season if they make it.

@GuitarherownedАй бұрын
For his health's sake, i hope he trusts in his teammates to get them into the postseason (he's done more than enough already to help the team this year). Than once we're there, hopefully he'll be able to play if his back is feeling better. It's not worth it to risk possibly more damage before we even get to the playoffs. Because than we might not have him available at all when we need him the most.
@JetsMetsfan1Ай бұрын
Assuming the playoffs is not something we can do. We need our MVP to be out there regardless of how well Acuna has played. If this were something that could affect him long term, i would feel differently. I think it's up to him and not the Mets to shut him down. Beat the Braves tomorrow night, and we can manage his innings the ROS. You also can't go into the playoffs cold and expect miracles.
@MrKeychangeАй бұрын
This is so frustrating. You're right, but also if he can't go, it is what it is
@ts9576Ай бұрын
Honestly at this point they should just tell him hes shut down for the regular season. rushing it back could be a disaster. People will disagree I get it he's a gamer and doesnt want to miss games. I get it that it's the last week and playing for a wild card but they're done with Philly now and after winning 3 of 4 haven't lost a beat. Give him another full week and let him know he has playoffs to worry about most likely. If he wasn't playing shortstop I would think differently but at that position you're moving and jerking around more than any position player on the field pretty much and it's a back issue so just make sure he's 100%.
@MrKeychangeАй бұрын
I would have said you were crazy a few days ago, but if he can't go against Atlanta tonight and they win, there's no reason to fool around after that. You're probably right regardless
@demonslayer9551Ай бұрын
I rather they keep him out and let the team step up for the last ATL series. I want him ready in the post season. This man was the glue for most of the season. This is where you let your teammates carry the rest.
