@@Azexlify You basically have three kinds of fans when it comes to the other teams in the city. 1. Roots for them but not over their team. 2. Couldn't care less about the other team they're just kind of there (and maybe laugh at them a little bit when applicable). 3. Doesn't like the team at all and roots for them to lose. I'm 62 years old and was born the same year that the New York Mets came into being in 1962 and can remember falling in love with baseball because of the crack of bat sound and because my Mom was always at Mets games because her and her friends knew Ed Charles and Tommy Agee and used to go to the Outfielders Lounge , which was Tommy Agee Bar and restaurant , shall never forget when Gil Hodges took over , and the changes and new chemistry around the team and the great 68 and 69 seasons of the Amazing Mets and the Ya gotta Believe of the 1973 season which mi feel they got robbed by the Umpires in that series against the Oakland Athletics , was a big Willie Mays fan and wanted so bad for him to retire as a New York Mets player after his great years as a Giant in New York at the Polo Grounds ,, that was a difficult off-season , was also looking forward to the next season due to the Home Run Chase by Hank Aaron ,, was always a big Tom Seaver fan and was disappointed when he was traded to the Reds ,, some rough times throughout the 1975-1983 when Strawberry and Gooden and Hernandez and Mookie , Carter , Knight and the Magical 1986 season ,, Subway Series against the Yankees was good for the City , unfortunately the Mets were no match for the Yankees in that Era , 2015 was heartbroken by the Royals and the foolishness of stacking power pitchers of the last ten years ,, always remember what Tom Seaver said about those pitchers and their misguided philosophy ,, was glad to see Buck Showalter as manager and was concerned when he was fired ,, however Carlos Mendoza is the future and a great manager and good person and has great impact on the players and good people skills and makes senseable decisions and has good communication with his coaching staff ,, this 2024 season is very special each and every day ,, from 0-5 to OMG and it's not finished yet !
