That EGR pipe is called a Venturi. Also you are doing good, I do this for a living and have for 40 years. Have also been to school on the DD series engines put on by Detroit Diesel.

I used this video to diagnose my engine fault code. I replaced the Delta P sensor and the pipe it connects to. The light stayed on at idle, but after 230 mile with a empty trailer, when I stopped for fuel and turned the truck off, when I turned it back on the light went out. Thanks for your videos. Check your turbo actuator arm. I had that issue without codes. Turns out the actuator arm was frozen.

In my particular case, all I had to do was clean the 7th injector located behind the turbo and problem solved. You can try that before anything else. After I cleaned it, the light will still be on but will eventually go off after a few cycles. Again, that was my particular case with same codes.

Buenas tardes @francisco Amaya oye una pregunta, tengo dd15 y le cambié la Egr actuator y el engineer harness pero sigue fallando mi camión, me marca que mi EGR está fallando, pierde un poco de fuerza y mi freno de motor dejo de funcionar. Acabo de limpiar el delta sensor y las pipas pero no cambio nada, mi último recurso es cambiar el delta sensor. Mi pregunta es si mi delta sensor está dañado eso causa que no habrá ni cierre el Egr valve??

You can get an unauthorized copy from epcatalogs. I think it was about $250. It's been several years since I bought it. The expensive thing is the USB link device to connect you ECM to your computer. Those cost about $700. You can get a cheap Chinese knock-off for about $200. I didn't chance it though and shelled out for a real one.

Spn 2791. Egr valve actuator position incorrect. I've replaced the actuator, the delta pressure sensor and new venturi pipe, still have the code. Also power loss in low altitude areas. It seems to pull better in the north east part of the country than down south, Texas and Oklahoma areas. Any ideas Francisco?

I just had an inframe overhaul done... truck runs good but loses power on uphills even with light loads... check engine light turns on and off... and sometimes stays on for a few minutes... Hey I have a 2011 dd13,I had the same issue just built up in the egr cooler, after I installed the cooler, the egr vavle at idle is constantly cycling in an out of egr flow you can see the egr actuator constantly sweeping, ran dddl troubleshooting out any help would helpful, tested mcm harness as well as harness plug for egr actuator, as far as reading for egr vavle goes for 10 percent to 40 percent constantly, Parts replace EGR cooler, Delta P ports clean sensor replaced, ehr actuator replaced also slow learn routine done, mcm was updated to current software, any help would be great

When the code is on Permanent, the computer will monitor the code until the odb monitor gets completed and then the code can be fully deleted.

@ob834 I don't know if it was a bad CPC4 causing my issue or not but since replacing my CPC4 in Nov and having it reprogrammed I haven't had that code pop up but again most of the time the code would throw in warmer outside Temps we will see as we move into warmer weather. Check back with me at a later date and I'll let ya know if it throws a code.

Thanks much for your reply! I was told by the Michanic that it could be my MCM failing I just replaced it and after driving 100 miles same issue again. The codes sometimes clear out for just a few miles then pop back on the two main codes are spn 5357 fmi 18 and 3563 fmi 18.

@ob834 this shit has too many computers and electronics on it to really pin point the issues, but I'll know more about the intake manifold pressure code when it gets warmer outside. If it doesn't trigger the code then I'd have to say it was the CPC4 starting to fail and I'd recommend getting yours repaired and reprogrammed, I'll keep ya updated

If you deleted your DPF system and there is not warning lights related to it, you must check your DPF filters since they get clogged after a while.

Hello bro, Great video. I have one question. I have taken my truck to the mechanic shop 3 to 4 times already. The problem is when the truck ask for regen and then I park and start the regen manually by pressing the regen button and then it starts revving up the RPM as usual and then after few mins the fan starts and then the truck jumps every time when fan clicks like it misfires or something and then after truck regen sound goes to normal but RPM stays up between 12 to 1300 rpm and its not doing anymore regen but acting like it's doing. Please advise the truck is 2014 cascadia
