For sure the ministry of Jesus must be supported with money and other resources.But the doctrine of tithing is not in the New Testament. It’s an idol of prosperity that has infested our Christian religion. The context of Hebrews is priesthood not giving to the ministry of Jesus Christ. Many sincere believers who are inquiring from God with idol of mammon in their heart get answers according to Ezekiel 14. The inspired writers of the scriptures in the new covenant said nothing about tithe why can’t we believe the scripture. When did we start worshiping Melchizedek instead of Christ Jesus? 2 Corinthians 9:6- spells the giving doctrine for church and nothing more. The old covenant gave way to the new covenant accept it and live.

@@carloshisr the Bible runs on covenants and promises. Get it that there is giving doctrine in the new covenant that Jesus Christ backs up anything else is prosperity gimmick and Jesus is not in it.

Thank you for taking this word of truth and opening my eyes. For years I have followed the Levite system. I did not know the truth about tithing. I thank God for sending that lady to your office to ask you that LIFE CHANGING QUESTION!!!!!!!!! I will now tithe from LIFE and I know I am BLESSED. I pray this word reaches every church across this nation. May this blessed word of truth reach every Pastor preaching from the wrong tree. The Lord, Holy Spirit taught me many years ago that tithing wasn’t for believers, that is wasn’t money but food, ( the preachers preached to us Mal3:8-10, but never taught about the tithe) ... if you seek Truth we will find Truth... the Lord has lead my sister in Christ and myself to the courts of Heaven, and the Melchizedek order outside of the church system, studying the Bible! the church doesn’t teach this , they Preach Mal3:8-10 at us... what believer wants to rob God? thanks for your teaching = FREEDOM‼️

Pastor Francis, with all protocols observed, and in the greatest of respect, permit me to point you to Leviticus 27 vs 30, when God commanded the tithe BY LAW (see Galatians @) TO Israel (not to gentiles) it was the opportune time for God to refer Israel back to the Abramic tithe to Melchizedek. God didn't do that. The Abramic tithe was given because Abram was at war with the kings of the region see Genesis @, and as the battle intensified Melchizedek (a representation of Jesus) brought bread and wine to Abram (blessing the lesser) for the victory see Hebrews 7:7. A precedence was set; that the efficacy of the broken body and bloodshed of Jesus transcended time and space to fiat victory for Abram (since Jesus wasn't born yet) fulfilling Melchizedek's prophecy of victory for Abram. The Abramic tenth was scripted as a tithe in Genesis @ solely because it was a tenth; it was not commanded by God. A tenth becomes a tithe strictly by God's declaration and not man's. We live after Christ's cross in the dispensation of Grace and not before the cross in the dispensation of LAW. Jesus fulfilled ALL the laws on our behalf, because when the Law came SIN REVIVED (it pointed humanity to the need for a Saviour). Without a law sin is not imputed (see Romans @). Pastor if you want your assembly to prosper, then you must obey God's Word in this regard and understand that if you continue the LAW of tithing you are usurping the authority of a Levite priest which God has not ordained so to do, and you will be inviting poverty into the assembly (see Galatians @.) The scriptures reveal that God who spared not His Son, but gave Him up for us all, will He not with Him freely give us ALL THINGS? See Romans @. Emmanuel!!!! If you keep and or practice tithing, you are in effect negating God's provision via the finished work of Jesus Christ; you must also keep ALL of the LAW. Shalom.

Hebrews 7: 11-13: " If therefore perfection were by the Levitical Priesthood for under it the people RECEIVED THE LAW, what further need was there that another Priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not called after the order of Aaron? For the PRIESTHOOD BEING CHANGED, there is made of necessity A CHANGE ALSO OF THE LAW. For He (JESUS) of Whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe (JUDAH) of which no man gave attendance at the alter." Jesus is our ever present High Priest. Hebrews 7:5" And verily those who are of the sons of Levi, WHO RECEIVED THE OFFICE OF THE PRIESTHOOD, have a COMMANDMENT to take tithes of the people ACCORDING TO LAW, that is of their brethren, though they came out of the loins of Abraham." We are gentiles and certainly not from the bloodline of Levi, nor Aaron; we are not to usurp the authority of a Levite Priest to take any tithes from anyone in this dispensation of Grace. John 1:7 "For the LAW was given by Moses but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ."
