@@RacingRoman44 That's kinda the point though, and the point of the lesson, MJW starts with "This is how a boxer does it", then demonstrates how easily it can be dodged. What hits harder? The punch with all your weight and strength behind it, that is telegraphed and dodged? Or the not so hard, but not telegraphed and connected punch? This is why Bruce Lee often fought southpaw, because he figured the punch most likely to hit is your jab, so he fought left handed so the jab with his right hand would be stronger.

He could but like everyone else when you actually fight 100% you have to start at the amateurs and gain experience. That non telegraph drill still amazes me, I wonder can you do the same from a conventional boxing stance (high guard)
@kvng.t3 жыл бұрын
High guard not so much because your muscles tensed when in that position. When you have a low guard it is the opposite. If you want good example Of this look at Izzy, Conor, or Sean omally

the point of the drill is to make your jab straight with less fidgeting from your joints. straight punches are the best, they always beat hook punches and uppercuts.

this is good for Francis to meet other experts in their field, i remember he was learning from Mike Tyson, that the short inside left hook he should be using it more, and Francis won by that exact punch vs Stipe. would be funny if we saw Francis using front kick to the body vs Gane.
