Even if no DVD ever becomes available, we are so lucky to have on youtube this unrepeatable and immensely moving creation by probably the greatest dramatic countertenor of all time interpreting the greatest of great baroque opere serie. The brilliant costumes, the makeup, the settings, each and every aspect of the staging, are absolutely right! My eyes fill with tears every time I watch and listen to this aria.

Je viens d'écouter cet air sans image dans la collection Vinci, j'étais déjà séduite, , mais de VOIR Fagioli le chanter avec tant d'émotion , de noblesse et de grâce, avec le texte en prime ...Je suis en extase !

Исполнение музыки барокко настолько стилистически, технически и интонационно сложно, что певцов такого исполнительского уровня единицы. Конечно Фаджиоли гениальный контртенор с глубоким меццосопрановым звучанием. Ни одной ноты мимо традиций исполнения музыки барокко. И какая техника исполнения сложнейших пассажир.
