some of you may laugh at this but this reminds me of a very forgettable Christmas - 2012. It was on the TOTP2 Christmas special and the reason WHY that Christmas is forgettable is that BBC4 only shown part 1 of the 1977 TOTP Christmas special. Because part two was co-hosted by DLT, it wasn't shown. Nevertheless, Song Of Winter is very evocative of the start of the 1970s. Just look at the way the girls in the video have their hair and makeup done...a leftover from the previous year. I wasn't alone in not really feeling festive that year because my godmum didn't feel up to celebrating the festive season either.

I agree with your assessment of Song of Winter. In many ways 1970 was the last year of the 1960s because that’s when the Sixties actually ended.
