Same difference. Tae Kwan Do is Shotokan as practiced in Korea. And Shotokan is a bastardized Karate with Savate kicks, a sport version derived from the very different Okinawan Karate.

@@varanid9 There is no round hose kick in Karate. If you claim TKD is SHOTOKAN, why dont you quote any names of traditional Shotokan forms which contain round house kicks shown in the movie? BTW most Japanese even do no know what Svate is. Quote any publication where Japanese says "Hey we learn this technique from French." Or at least tell me the names of French person who taught Savae nationwide in Japan. Also study what "cultural appropriation" is.
