Bro even paul gilbert (back in GIT) is scared everytime he has to jam alongside of frank, source: Rick beato interview with Paul
@johnbuell80358 ай бұрын
@@paulgilbert3139 Of course he would be. Frank is a proper musician, playing lines based on a musical choice of notes, and being able to play those notes no matter where they require your fingers to go. Paul plays patterns. His lines are based on where the pattern says his fingers should go. There is more to it of course, but that is the broad difference between them. Frank is a monster musician, who is musically able and physically able to play just about anything. Paul is a fast rock guitar player. I’m not knocking Paul, who is a popular player, revered by many. But that is his world, and the simple fact is, he would be out of his depth trying to play most of the material Frank plays. And I’m sure he would be the first to admit it.

Too bad his records didn’t sound like that. Back in eighties everyone, paul Gilbert etc was talking about frank gambale. I go out buy frank gambale latest releases , back in 87 88? Spikes song? Anyways his music was good but ‘frank gambales’ guitar tone deliberately sounded like saxophone. I didn’t want to hear guitar sound like sax. Not only did I not like saxophone. It hated the 80s attitude against killer guitar tone. That was typical, trendy useless , looking back today. Other than that it was best time life
