Another gem from your channel, Cyle! Wonderful to see such a dedicated custodian of local TV history ☺️

HSV7 was one of a few Aussie stations to use the package, it was also used by the other major-market Seven stations as well as regional stations in Tasmania (TasTV) and Queensland (DDQ10 Toowoomba, which produced multiple versions of the Hello promo for various communities in their coverage area). The package also got use north of the border with stations in Calgary (CFAC, now CICT) and Halifax (ASN) using it as well.

You’re either a “Hello” person or a “Still The One” person in Australia 😁

1:28 Hello Milwaukee was the first version. The singer is Frank Gari. The male singer for “Hello Atlanta” is Michael Bolton.

I ran our Frank Gari Hello for a bit this spring in place of the Florence Warner version we’ve been running…it didn’t last because viewers thought I replaced the original and were very upset 😂

The amount of love for this image campaign is fantastic. They did a story on This American Life, I wanna say several years ago, on the Hello package. I believe it's archived somewhere. Edit: yup, it's from 2014, and on the show's website (can't link it or else my comment will get eaten but a quick search will take you there). They actually interviewed Frank Gari about it. It's a really fun and interesting listen.

This is a fine sampling of how the Hello package was used in the 1980s! And the influence of the original "Hello ____" promos shines through with the KWQC refreshed promos.
