When it did not pass, instead of crafting a separate, stand alone border bill, Schumer tried to pass a separate Ukraine and Israel aid bill. But that didn't pass either. Earlier, in May of 2023, the house passed and sent to the Senate H.R.2, Secure The Border Act of 2023. To this date, Schumer has not allow the House's border bill to reach the Senate floor for a vote. If you really care about securing/closing the border, then you might want to read H.R. 2. Don't just listen to paid tv/internet personalities. Judge for yourself.
