First concert I ever saw. 1977. I was 11, 12 years old. Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Mahagony Rush and Journey. Can’t get much more 70’s then that 😂🙏🙏

Well spotted Dan. There is another guitarist, Frank's brother, Vince. He's mainly rhythm and joins in with the harmonies. Frank is so under rated. He has so much feel, unlike others from his era, like Nugent. I loved how this was constructed, a bit like a song, with chorus, verse, chorus verse etc. Sifa got it too with his playing on how clean he plays. I enjoyed your reaction, thanks guys🙂

I have been a huge fan of these guys forever. I got to see them open for Kansas on the Point Of No Return tour. They were still a power trio at that point. The album cover to their Strange Universe album is one of the trippiest things I've ever seen. Frank Marino is another disciple of the Hendrix school of guitar but not a thief like some. His talent was incredible and those first 3 albums still get played regularly here. After World Anthem, I kinda moved on to bigger and better things, as you do...

Outstanding! Marino wasn't on my radar screen back in the day, so I'm late to the game & playing "catch up" here. Don't think I've ever heard this track before. Dude is the real deal. I like how he sprinkled in some jazz licks for variety. Great pick Paul. And great reaction SAD!

Right after his first live album in 78 I think a dc-101 radio station sponsored a Marino show for a $1.01 at the Warner theatre in DC My hero since then

Great choice to check out. Poppy is Franks live masterpiece There is no studio version of Poppy. Strictly live ever evolving. First time i listened to this song was back in 1986. In Oakland California. I remember the groove and flow of this song. I was stunned. In a very positive way

Frank was the primo guitarists of the seventies n his concerts were always an extension of his albums a very intense melodic creative player I think I'll just lay back n won't talk no more n let my eyes speak awhile

He did a concert video about 6 years ago that is filled with excellent work. "I Think It's Going To Rain" I believe is the ttle of one of the tracks. Another of Canada's finest guitarists.

Timm Biery on Drums. Does a great job. He also had played with arguably the greatest guitar ever, DANNY GATTON! Steve Vai was asked the question on greatest guitar player. He paused for a few seconds, and said, well the guy who could play it all, i'd have to say Danny Gatton.

For some reason this instrumental makes me feel like I'm in Europe or French Canada, Quebec, Montreal, like where Frank lived !!!............ I think you guys should check out the version of the band doing this song ''POPPY'' , in Montreal 1979 (therockandrolltv) version on youtube !!!....you get to visualize him in concert and it's grainy and old, but its way better, less crazy guitar leads and pure passion , in my eyes than this version !!!!
