I shop at Coles and Aldi, gave Woolies away when they discarded 🇦🇺day, but went all out on Chinese NY. Likewise with Halloween, and Thanksgiving, it’s American, has nothing to do with Australia. I have found Coles fruit and vegetables generally last longer and are fresher than Woolies, though they market themselves as ‘the fresh food people’. I only shop for me, I’m old school, cook from scratch. Don’t buy many convenience foods at all, they are generally a rip off, but good when you are time poor.

@ that’s okay, I wasn’t having a go at you. Only at Woolies, doing all the other countries festival days, but not ours😊

The Coles freeze dried coffee is only $4 a jar and it's one of the few my husband and I like. ,,,,Choice magazine also deemed it as one of the better coffees recently.

Coles and Woolies are always expensive but we’ve all got to eat I guess. I don’t buy much cos it’s only me so it really doesn’t matter where I go. If I really want something I get it but I do try and find cheaper items. TFS your videos Frank.

I don't drink coffee, but my husband does and he likes the Vittoria brand, which is expensive, so I only buy it when it's on special at half price. The ice-creams that my grandchildren like went up by a whole dollar in one week!

Those 500g tins of Nescafe (I have used the Nescafe Espresso for a long time) are good value at $18 ($3.60 per 100g. A 150 gram jar is $7.67 per 100 g. A 250 gram jar is $6.72 per 100 g). I go to both Coles and Woolworths and I reckon the meat at Coles is generally better than at Woolies. Prices ex specials probably similar.

The beef brisket didn't look good to me.... however the Coles chocolate fudge topping IS good! My favourite coffee ☕ is Nescafe Gold.

Supermarkets are having a lend of us all, and weasel words from gov will do nothing. Buy your coffee in Aldi if you have one near you. It has been 3.69 for 200 grams for ages, last week it was 4.49, still cheap. It actually tastes ok too, or I would not use it. Colesworth have nescafe for 6.50 per 50 grams. Work that out per 500grams!

The real problem are the big brands. People are brand locked into the lowest quality at the highest prices. Been buying the aldi coffee for the last few years, nescafe is swill and moccona is dishwater. Also thank goodness I don't drink soft drink anymore either, the unit price of those 1 cup servings of coke in the small cans..... $10/L. That's right. It's virtually free in other countries.
