Frank Ocean IS the voice of our generation. he revolutionized modern music allowing us to go deeper once again. My favourite album of his is the unofficial Lonny Breaux mixtape. That's my roadtrip album. there you feel his immersive world-building lyrical talent. Pyrite, Quickly, Acura Intergurl, Scared of Beautiful, Flight, Know Better and Richest Man in the Room are all ICONIC!!

I was so happy to read this comment to see that other people know about that collection let alone can recall favourites ❤️ That mixtape will stay with me forever. Also, when you hear “Know Better” it’s easy to see why he ended up writing for Jason Derulo after this! Not only that but JR Rotem is credited on the production of a few of the songs on this collection, you can even hear his tags in a few. JR Rotem was the producer behind Jason Derulos breakout single “Whatcha Say”. Such a cool spiderweb I think 🕷️

Love the songwriting analysis. These days lyrics are something overlooked and I still think it’s a very important part of a song, regardless of the aim. At least that’s how I approach my music. Ivy is a song that I think about a lot, it’s a 9/10 in everything you said in this video.

I’ve been in trouble with myself making music since 2015 and always not finishing a track because of sharing it to the public while work in progress and end up not finishing it, its always a problem for me procastinating its been 7 years like this. This video opened up my mind to not share it and procastinate and work on the track till i finish it. Hopefully one day I will. Thanks for the Content i need this.
