So unbelievably cool that you got to do an interview with Frank Oz. Being a child of the 90s I would have been quaking in my boots with how many aspects of my childhood this guy was involved with creating. I was floored to hear the fact that he hasn't seen baby grogu in action. I really hope somebody changes that for him after this. If anybody deserves to see the next stage of the Yoda species in action, it's the guy who gave Yoda life

Great interview as always. He makes a good point about the CGI vs puppets. There should be a good balance between both in the films. The Last Jedi Yoda secne was great, you could tell Mark believes in the soul of the character. Nice desk sponsor and cute pug! I cannot believe he hasn't seen Grogu properly! Would be good to see him return again to the galaxy far far away.

CGI Yoda was absolutely the right decision for Episode 2 and 3. The fight scenes are done especially well. It's a nice change to see Yoda as an athletic and powerful lightsaber fighter, so he's not just limited to using the force.
Yoda would win because he can be more diplomatic 🥳!

I know this video is 2 years old but KZbin suggested it and I'm watching for Frank Oz. But around 4:40 where he's telling Frank who "Baby Yoda" was... "They" didn't call him that. We, the auidence did. In the show, It was "the Child" or "Youngling", even "the Assest" to some. They never called it "Baby Yoda"

perhaps it's because i never re-watched the prequels but i genuinely don't remember the justification for yoda to fight. as far as i can remember the purpose was to be very confusing to somebody who remembers yoda saying "wars not make one great"
@TheGeeknd2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Michael!
@Uchiha-fi4ij2 жыл бұрын
One of the main points of the prequels was to show how the Jedi had lost their way, being hypocritical ("we're keepers of the peace, not soldiers") and playing politics rather than following the will of the force. And it's really cool to see Yoda fight with a lightsaber anyway.
