It's crazy how the commentator said he would probably peak in the next year to come. Since then he's traversed two weight classes, medalling, earning world titles or both in each. Still getting stronger many years later...still breaking world records.

The commentator who said that is David Morgan who was a very good lifter for Great Britain.

In that interview he did with Klokov he said he had done 225 kg clean and jerk in traning prior to this competition. Would've gotten a world record if the opportunity came. That 216kg jerk was probably the most solid jerk I've ever seen, there's not a single judge who would red light that one.
