built this bad boy. Made the top floor an auto forge. Super fun build. i built straight down instead of the honeycomb on the side, it helped with some of the stability issues. Turned the extra space into a Dance hall/chill christmas area. I wanna see a video like this for the base you made in "I survived solo rust for a week building a tea farm" That base ruled. GGS

Thanks Bluebelly! Hopefully I'll touch on that top on during a play through one day. They certainly do come up and are quite dynamic based on the server or how late in the wipe it is. What I've found with the big bases is that if you're cool they tend to hang. Just don't let them convince you to farm for them. Make sure they pay like anyone else. If they don't like it, they're more than welcome to waste 23 rockets getting the 4 Pure Ores you have in your core while you take your strains and set-up another farm elsewhere. The Tea life is an entrepreneurial one. ☕

2x2 core is better not necessarily for loot but it gives square foundations underneath the square floor of the farm allowing you to build up from the foundations to create a non-softsideable food for the farm making it more secure. I have made a very chunky farm base!

My method on building farms is to keep 1 sprinkler per 4 planters. The sprinkler radius is quite wide so if you place it in the center it'll touch all 8. So if it's against the wall it'll only spread to the four near the wall. I'm hoping to put out an advanced tea farm video soon that covers this in more detail. Honestly, horses serve as a much better solution for mobility than they do for manure. You'll get an extra berry or two out of it, and if you have time and want to perfect the farm go for it. For me, I'd rather spend that time running monuments or raiding and just do another grow when I get back. Adding the manure to the boxes is an extra step that I tend to just skip, unless had extra time and extra horses. Good question! ☕

Frank since u are an expert in this field can u tell me how many sprinklers i need for a 3x2 area. If i put the sprinklers in the middle or whatever the 2 planters in the middle will always get more water than the others

For a 2 x 3 you can use 2 sprinklers but be aware that each sprinkler provides 15 water which gets evenly across every planter it touches. The sprinkler radius can potentially touch 9 planters, in your case it's 6. When each sprinkler hits 6 planters it distributes 2ml of water per planter when placed in the middle. If you double that up with 2 sprinklers you'll be giving 4ml per planter. Now if you use a 2x4 instead and place a sprinkler on each end like I do in the video, you'll get an extra planter, and be providing the planters each with 3ml of water evenly. Really it all depends on how long you want to wait between grows and how much time and effort you want to put into getting your farm up and running. The more sprinklers you add the more water you'll get, but that also increases the amount of pumps you need and power. Not the best answer but I hope it helps. ☕

I think the goal would be to create shop that always displays 2 teas no matter what and maybe something that auto filters berries into specific boxes. Until they add the ability to connect to a mixing table it's a bit difficult to automate the tea farm. I'm hopeful they'll add some stuff tho. They're some tea fanatics over Facepunch, I'm sure of it. ☕

I just recently found this issue. @10:30 you'll notice a half-wall honeycomb on top of the original 1x2. You can see it briefly when I add the door. I should have added the video of that addition during the `honeycomb stage` but I had the flu and barely cognizant. My fault. Yes. Add the halfwall honey comb and you're golden. Sorry about that m3diocritygaming... I'm sure it was annoying but I appreciate you giving it a shot.

Hey Tom Happy New Year. I have a Frank related question. I have a one level tea area at the moment with a windmill and two large batteries. For some reason my farm lights keep going off and on despite a rewire. Any clues?

My guess is that the 1 windmill is too low for 2 batteries. You might need more power. Lose a battery or add more windmills / solar panels to compensate. It's a strange game, but you'll figure it out. Enjoy your new year and god speed. ☕

It does not help with growing. It's purely aesthetic. But for me personally, if you're running a tea farm, you gotta show the whole server. Also, windowless farms feel claustrophobic to me. There will be no difference if you build it with walls instead of windows, but I'll be personally bummed. ☕

Hi Tom, I am currently in the process of building a Frank. But when I covered in the bunker and logging off I found the floor piece did not disappear when I removed the half wall. Took a long time to hack my way out. Any ideas what went wrong please?

Jumped onto a debug server and confirmed it's still working. There's a couple of checks. Make sure it's only raised foundations and full wall around the entire bunker mechanism. The only half wall should be where you get out. If you still run into trouble pop into the discord and we can help you solve it. Good luck man. ☕

@@byron2837 Well I'm building it now. But I'm doing a 2x2, and the honeycomb is square foundation. That way I can build walls up to protect the underside of the farm, so no softsiding. I think it's a better design that way, but it is a bit more expensive.
