Exactly this made me buy the Tannoys. When going very very close to the speaker the sound remains Frank's voice and it's not split in treble and midrange. It's magic.

I know why it sounds so clean, it's not Sinatra singing. It's Tom Gabel, a very recent recording. If anyone have doubts, it's from the album "STS Digital - Incredible Music and Recordings" the volume 4 track 3
