Interesting thing to note about the song "Miranda" when he is talking about Miranda in a negative light Frank refers to her as "Him" basically saying "This is how you acted before you knew who you were, when you were "Him" you were cruel" but now Frank has put his resentment and anger behind him and when he speaks more hopeful of their relationship Frank refers to Miranda as "Her". I just thought it was nice thematic framing.

@@KnightscastStudios Thanks for the reply! I have been loving your explorationg through the FTHC album, Frank is one of my favourite artists. If you will take a humble suggestion from a big fan of Frank and the genre as a whole I really cannot recommend the album "The shape of Punk to come" by Refused enough. It is an absolutely FANTASTIC journey through music, morality, art and rebellion and was a major influence on Frank Turner and many other artists. Strongly considered the most important punk album of all time and one of the most important albums of all time. period. I beg you, Trust me. It's fantastic.

Some context on My Bad: Frank went to a private boarding school here in the UK called Eton. It's one of the most expensive in the country and very much full of the sons of Lords, the aristrocracy, and lots of very old, rich families. A huge amount of Eton graduates end up in politics, often promoting quite Victorian ideals. Some were even members of a club called The Bullingdon Club, including a few former PMs, who have an initiation 'game' where they burn money in front of a homeless person. Suffice to say Frank really didn't fit in, but he feels guilty by association and held some resentment towards his Dad for being the one who sent him there.

Miranda is such a beautiful song. Saw him perform it in '22 and the whole crowd were singing along. So much love in the room. This album is one of the best albums in the last 20 years!
