In Jan 2019 i should have been watching frank live in leeds. Due to the impromptu appearance of my beautiful baby daughter i wasn't there with my sister and niece. Literally seconds after i sent the message to let my sister know my amazing little girl was born frank played this song and the first reply i got from my family was a WhatsApp recording of this played live. A canvas of these lyrics sits above her bed and i cannot wait for the opportunity to take her to see frank!

I emailed Frank years ago when my niece was born about this song. It was shortly after my sister (her mother) died. I thought I understood this song. Then I met the love of my life. I've finally found Frank and his wonderful music only a few months ago, and reading all the comments below, I'm really touched to see how much strength he's been able to give to so many people with his lyrics and his music and his honesty about his happiness and fears. And yes, his songs can express feelings I'm lacking the words for myself. I' m almost a bit sad that I' ve missed out on so many years of his performance and music. I instantly fell in love with this song years ago when this was released. The grandiosity and sincerity that it encompasses is perfection. I often used to listen to this song on repeat and associate it to my then girlfriend Alex. Fast forward about 5 years and I'm now married to my then girlfriend and we have a baby on the way in November of this year! I'm writing this comment today because I woke up with the lyrics to this song in my head and had to throw it on as I made coffee. I began to sing along but I started to well up and simply couldn't finish singing because I became too emotional. I quickly realized it was because this song I used to associate with my wonderful wife was now making me think of my soon to be new born baby girl. Well even the electric guitar produces acoustic sounds, they're just too quiet to be used properly in such a setting, so they do still have to amplify it. But the other instruments and voice are mixed to the correct volume, too, so I guess it counts? ;)

Also "acoustic sound"... doesn't count for shit. It's a clean sound, but there's nothing acoustic about a solid body fender. It's clean. It's infuriating to hear people mix this up all the time. The sound that resonates from a chamber in an instrument versus the sound amplified by single coil magnetic pickups and then replicated by magnetic speakers are two VERY different things.
