I had a rough day at work. When I came home, my husband played this song, took my hand, and we slow danced in our tiny living room. Thank you, Frank.

My favorite thing about Frank’s music is it always comes from a place of honesty. While this isn’t the angst his listeners are used to, I am happy for him. And I like any artist who can show his range. Frank is still the best IMO.

I have wandered Through the dark Through the dirt I was hurt And in the end I came back to the start And I stumbled Lord knows how I stumble I slipped on myself, no help from anyone else I fell in love and I was humbled There she is Isn't she everything? There she is Isn't she everything? Down at the bottom I found the things I'd forgotten Then despite all I've done, I can learn, I can learn this time Gonna hold onto that I'm gonna forgive myself Then ask for forgiveness Crossing my fingers and toes Cause God only knows I need this Lord how I need this There she is Isn't she everything? There she is Isn't she everything? Isn't she everything I need? I needed someone who believed me I needed someone who wouldn't leave me I needed her Everything I need, I need is someone who believed me I needed someone who wouldn't leave me I needed her There she is Isn't she everything? I will give I will give anything There she is Isn't she everything? I will give I will give anything Anything you need Anything you need Anything you need I promise you I will believe you I promise you I'll never leave you I need my girl Anything you need I promise you I will believe you I promise you I'll never leave you I need my girl There she is There she is

Ahhhh Love it! This is exactly Frank I don't know what you folks are talking about. Frank is Punk but Frank is also emotion, He is "4 Simple Words" and "Get Better" but "Front Crawl" and "Broken Piano". The difference with this track is that its upbeat. It's happy, it's about a positive love not a past one. I can appreciate that! Once again LOVE!!!

Brilliant. Frank Turner is, hands down, my favorite musical discovery of the last decade. His voice, lyrics, and sound connect in that deep, perfect, true way that music can. When that happens, its the closest thing to magic there is. Thanks Frank for everything! Peace .n. We are the Music Makers and We are the Dreamers of Dreams 3ToF

Nice to see Frank evolving... I think some people just want him to release Love Ire and Song over and over again! Songwriting evolves as people do And I like the new direction!
@noanproduction33007 жыл бұрын
In Frank's case ... songwriting evolves backwards. He even said himself that his songs are getting simpler. And no we don't want Love, Ire and Song over and over. He changed his style with every album and every album until PS4NP was just fucking amazing. But this new song shows not even one of his strengths. It's not a very deep or good text and the structure of the song itself is just boring. And then there is this strange synth in the background. I have nothing against synth but in this song it's just strange and annoying. I'm excited for the new album in spring ... but this one just isn't something I would listen to again.
@florianmeier50907 жыл бұрын
It's just a complete different style of music. I think I haven't heard one acoustic guitar on PS4NP, and Frank still is a Singer/Songwriter. I like this song, but it just sounds overproduced. Less would be more in this song, I also don't like the synth. I hope the new album will be more acoustic/folk again...
@noanproduction33007 жыл бұрын
Nope it will be more electric ... which could be good ... or not. And Song for Josh was a live song recorded with acoustic guitar. The third best song on PS4NP after Get Better and Silent Key.
@florianmeier50907 жыл бұрын
Oh of course, Song for Josh and Thr angel islington. They are more intros and Outros so i nearly forgot about them. Song for Josh is awesome. There were also other awesome songs on it, but it was just kind of too "loud". And I don't think an electric Frank Turner album will work, sorry. I mean this song for example is great, but it would be much better if it was more acoustic...

My beacon of hope at the moment is the song '1933' which sounds very nice. It's a very punk-rock-ish song. Maybe we get some more of that on the new record

Frank Turner was someone I could always relate to, having been shown his music at a time in my life when I was stressed, confused, and terrified of love in spite of wanting it so badly. Now, a few years later, I've found a brilliant love and intend to keep it strong. It might not be for everyone, but I'm really happy this song came out when it did. It feels really personal for me.

This song came to mind just now and it came with the thought of her. I miss her and I know she isn't missing Me or thinking of me. Not only was she the Mother of my child, she was my best friend and all things in between. She was my Everything. Now she is gone and I wish I could say the right words to get her to hear me, I wish she would just see me but sadly even together she never seen me. I walked away and I know it was for the better because the person I'm missing wasn't the person I walked away from. That Girl was gone long before I left. Hope one day you are listening to this and that girl remembers who she is and reaches out. Also it would be nice if she would let me see and spend time with my Daughter. I miss my girls, I love you both and I wish all this would just be a nightmare and I'd wake up to you by my side. Please remember the good times, remember who you was before all the things that changed you and I hope you are staying clean and that you are happy. I Love You T.N. always forever til the end...... How exactly is this not the old Frank? This is a beautiful song, typical of what makes me such a huge fan of his. How is this song any different than The Way I Tend To Be, or Broken Piano? Frank’s been a favorite of mine for many years, I have lyrics from The Way I Tend To Be tattooed on my right forearm along with the FTHC crossbones logo. This guy is amazing, I’m not understanding the hate. It’s like people get butthurt when an artist keeps doing the same stuff over and over and then they get butthurt when an artist changes and progresses. This guy has a way of putting thoughts into words that I envy, he’s right up there with the likes of Scott Hutchison, Andrew Davie and Jim Adkins. Great song.

I love Frank. His persona, his no bull shot ways, his honesty, the fact he still replies to his emails...but...although the tune is catchy-ish, I would be better able to embrace it if it ended before the synth break. Guys, relax. Yes, this doesn't sound "like it used to", but this song is not on the 2018 album, it's on Songbook, and from a label's or music producer's point of view, these decisions are always made for a reason. I assume that his next new album won't be "like it used to" either (he has said as much, after all). But if this new song isn't on that album, then that's because it doesn't make sense on that album, thematically and/or musically. So if you don't like it too much, just sit back, drink a cup of tea and wait for what comes next.
@MysteriousRanch7 жыл бұрын
"Not the Frank we know" "Too soft for Frank" - what's wrong with an artist changing their style from time to time? I think it shows artistic drive if an artist tries out different things and doesn't just sit comfortably where they're already established.
@noanproduction33007 жыл бұрын
Well, he changed his sound with every album and I'm okay with that. But this song ... is just bad. His voice performance, the structure of the song, the chord variety, the tempo, the text and the questionable synth sounds ... it sounds like something my grandparents would listen to. A song that is repetitive in it's melody should have a driving force that carries it ... but this one is just too slow for it's repetitivness. And that is what makes it boring.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel, Noah? I think you were a little harsh on the song. I like it. I love the simple arrangement andI think his singing and lyrics carry the song quite well. It's like Polaroid Picture light. That's not a bad thing.
@noanproduction33007 жыл бұрын
+Bill Conway You can't really compare this one to polaroid picture. It's more like I knew prufrock before he got famous like song(which is my favourite song by frank and always will be) but it hasn't the same deep lyrics, the same driving force that Prufrock has. And the production and melody are also kinda off. It's not a bad song though. It's just bad for Frank standards. After a few listens I can kinda see what he was going for here but still for me it doesn't quite work.

This one sounds very different to to the others I've heard from the new album (Be More Kind and 1933, which I saw him do live over the summer). I like it, but I recognise that part of the reason I like it is that it's so clearly genuine emotion; it's obviously written for someone he loves more than its written for any of us. So I can excuse that it's a bit more simple than other Frank songs. For those people unhappy with the new direction: A) all artists have to change or they'd be boring B) I think the rest of the album is definitely going to have anger, angst, political rantings, lovely poetry etc. so don't worry too much
