Frank & Jimmy got together in 2018 after both recovering from horrific accidents in 2017. They claim this is the session that got them back in the playing game. Such great chemistry.

I love these guys, Bruno, Vignola and Strayhorn--three of a kind ya couldn't beat with a full house. When I was a kid, my dad often played the Ellington Orchestra version of this tune on Sunday mornings--my kinda church. Thanks, Mr Vignola, Mr Bruno and Mr Strayhorn.

This is my first exposure to Jimmy Bruno. I have to say, he plays with a feel that seems really authentic. Not that the others are fake, just that he seems like an anchor for people who want beautiful fun. Frank is great too. Love his picking. But what a treat to meat Jimmy.
