Man, those chord changes Vinny is doing are killer. Amazing.

Just two unsung heros in the guitar world. You never see them listed on magazine greatest guitar player lists (because, of course, only rock guitarists are "great") - but everyone in the business knows them - there's a reason that Tommy Emmanuel loves playing with them - he knows that he is in good hands

Both are amazing.. Vinny Raniolo's rhythm playing is just incredible :O
@whitelion2045 жыл бұрын
He's a freaking human metronome. And looking at all those chords at that speed and accuracy, I can't even imagine how much practice he put in to achieve that finger strength and flexibility. Greatest respect to Vinny.

Saw them in Tenby last year, hope to see them again this year. It is really great that musicians of this class play small intimate gigs in out of the way places where people from the back of beyond can see them.

I saw them in 2012 and 2013 when they opened for Tommy Emmanuel in SF. They are fun to see live and they play well with Tommy when they are all together. There was a lot of talent on that stage those nights. In 2012 they were introduced as "2 guys from the old country....Brooklyn!" Don't know if they are from there or not.

Brian Goodfellow Yeah, sorry about the mic placement. This was a recording of a live radio performance. The on-air element, and the placement of our studio audience takes priority, so this was the best angle available.

A point for anyone who plans to record Frank & Vinnie: Place your microphones better! As a guitarist I want to see both hands of both players - they are so good. The positioning of the mikes here cover up their right hands - look through your camera and make sure we can see both hands. Apart from that - great stuff. I hope to get to see them next month when they are in the UK! (I still think I should give up playing the guitar after seeing these guys!)

I love how classical pieces on guitar always have a Spanish sound to them don't you agree? These guys are amazing
@kavandonaghy23468 жыл бұрын
+lorenzo galotti I agree! But that's most likely due to the Gyspy jazz esque Rythmn known as "the pump" played by Vinny Throughout. :)
@grinofthegrimreaper8 жыл бұрын
+Kavan Donaghy I did know they played a gypsy kind of jazz but didn't know it was called "the pump"! thanks man, that's interesting! :D
