Wow, Cullen is unbelievably humble for someone of his fame. Literally the first thing he does is express how he feels that Welker is far more talented, and how grateful he is to work with him. I also love his story about how he came up with his way of speaking as Optimus. A leader who is gentle, forgiving, and truly cares about his men, yet is tough when he needs to be; against the villain. In the Michael Bay movies I think Optimus' demeanor really goes against this idea. It may be badass, but it's not really how I think Cullen wants Prime to be perceived. I kinda feel bad for him in a way, because despite how he may not like how Prime is written in Bay's films, he probably still feels an obligation to voice this character since he knows the fans want it.

Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are two personal heroes of mine. These two guys were such a MASSIVE part of my childhood. They have done so many voices on several different cartoons I watched as a kid but the ones that stand out to me the most are of course Optimus Prime and Megatron from Transformers! Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are masters at what they do. I have always and will always have massive respect for them both. This was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Thank you for posting it.

I May not have been born around the time that Peter Cullen and Frank Welker did their voices for the fist time on transformers, heck that was 20 years before I was born! But I’ve seen the g1 show when I was a child thanks to my father and fell in love with it, it’s so inspiring to hear their stories and experiences that they’ve been through in their career and how they started. These guys are the real deal and are true legends!

Staggeringly good. Just amazes me how great these two are together, I'd quite happily listen to their stories for hours and hours. Truely admirable the way they both equally value and admire each other's talents, both paying respect to their colleague and long time friend. They work so well together still after all these years, a true privilage to hear them both speak about their time in the recording booth and hear their insights into their craft. Truely love Peter's dedication to the role, he gives the Bayformers movies their heart and soul. Without him, they wouldn't be worth watching. Though I do feel sorry for Frank, that Hugo Weaving got the Megatron role instead of him, would've been a delight to hear these titans duke it out on the big screen. All our love Peter and Frank, the foundations of our childhoods were built by you.

I feel that the way Optimus was portrayed in the first Transformers films was great. Same with the second and third, but towards the end, he started getting a bit violent. But in the fourth and fifth films, he sounds like a merciless killer at times. Lines like "I'll kill you!" and "You die!" really went against the character.

I remember when they announced they were going to make a live action film of Transformers and me and my coworkers, all of which grew up in the 80s watching TF, we all were like, they better get the guy who did Optimus Prime's voice. At the time we didn't know Peter's name. Growing up he was just the voice of Optimus Prime. I feel bad but ya, we all wanted him for the voice or it wasn't Transformers.
