I love how Frank would occassionaly bullshit the audience with "time filler" songs. This little gem must have been one of them. Gives the band time to recharge.

Just one more remark. He was so FUCKING funny. And he had, in my opinion the RIGHT politician position.... Even though the people in New Jersey didn't get it. I have to take everything about his guitar playing back..... Wow.... He explored it....

Jimi just restrung a right-handed guitar and played it left-handed. After FZ acquired the guitar, he needed to rebuild it and, of course, strung it properly for right-hand playing.
@stereoreservoir5 жыл бұрын
@@MsRockett88 I thought the same but had a mind-fuck looking at a magazine cover featuring frank and the guitar in question. But then I remembered Jimi played a right hand strung upside down and it all made since because I did the same thing as a left handed guitarist myself.

I love Frank Zappa. He is one of my favorite guitar players. BUT he was more interesting as a composers, tired of these endless Penta Tonic variations. I've seen a video once where Steve Vai stated that he saw Frank Zappa doing something of an unbelieble thing on guitar at a rehearsal for a concert... I do believe that. And I am sure he did that. I will never doubt Frank Zappa as a serious artist and composer. Seen him in Mannheim /Germany with the Broadway the Hard way tour in1985. That was great. The Fowler Brothers on the horns. In Rock AND JAZZ you always have to give credit and really appreciate the people you play with. Which he did.... By the way my favorite band of his (even though that is a hard choice) is still the one with George Duke on the piano... mid 70th. Live in New York (which was earlier than that, I know) Michael Brecker and the rest of the horns... Wow... Never ending.. ... . Except for Johann Sebastian Bach. He was doing it alone all by himself. He even invented a SWINGING bass line. Here I bow down to Frank Zappa and Bach.
