This high school educated guy was one of the true commensense geniuses the country has produced. The section around 6:00, where he talks about subtracting the spin from the news, then averaging the results, is right on, and he articulates it so simply. He had a great talent for presenting simple explanations of complex concepts, with equal measures of weary skepticism and good-humored optimism. Thoughtful and interesting on a wide variety of topics, and an almost impossibly productive artist.

@@sammyscotch9945 It's worth doing, though. Just yesterday, one news source reported that a guy had put a kid in a crawlspace under his floor and nailed him in there alone for months. You can easily find equally inconsistent news coverage on almost any topic.

It was just another form of creating music which was being done in the 70s. Zappa himself would overdub guitar solos from live tours onto studio tracks. I would hardly call the solos "Fake" Music had to change! I grew up on Zappa and the previous few decades of music. Dance music gave us a new direction. What Frank refers to was happening in the 50s and 60 , too. The industry have always used smoke and mirrors and bands use these things on stage, too.

It was you, sir, who first referenced "a collectivist politician's power grab" and that's right out of hate radio: if you didn't mean Obama (whom I never supported in the least), who was it? People can and do work together without becoming mindless Maoists, or have you noticed? Perhaps you want to leave everything to our big-hearted businessmen, who have caused every catastrophe worth mention in the last 50 years? Seems it's you who dislikes "different thinking."
