I don't know where you folks find these bootlegs, but I love that you upload them to KZbin. Volman-era Mothers might be my favorite period. Thanks for this.

The GREAT thing about Zappa live, unlike most artists performing live, is that he rarely just plays it safe, always changing and so often augmenting the original piece, why Zappa's live stuff is so desirable.

During 'Porko The Magnificent,' Ian Underwood is playing 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head,' rather badly, on purpose! That kind of off-the-wall detail is exactly what I love about Frank's music.

whoa, yeah br1tag, I was there, I thought I was loosin my mind, but hell I was just out of High school in 70. I know (now)-in 71 I was workin a junk job in Manahattan. travelin and stopped to work in NY for cash. it was 71 all rite. And a hell of a concert. My sis was so far ahead of me,into the greatest artists-like Frank. I was into the usual suspects- no shame vs. doors, Hendrix, cream, etc.-hooked on so many greats late 60's/ But zappa is way out in a field all his own, always RELEVANT !

november,1971 is not possible: Bill Graham closed Fillmore East in 1971, and one of the last shows was Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention who did three nights in june,1971. This show: 1970-november ! 13 or 14 ? It is not sure,"zappateers" says: 1970 11 13 and/or 14 - Fillmore East, New York, NY Previously listed as 1970 11 13. On each day were performed two shows, the exact recording date or dates are uncertain.
This is definitely the Fillmore East. I am posting on my dad's behalf due to his lack of a youtube account =) He was in attendance at this concert, and made a recording of it himself with his cassette recorder and so knows the audio in detail (and still has the tape). Zappa played the same set in San Francisco also, but this concert is most definitely the Fillmore East.
