Tremendous & simple video …Thanks ….note when completed my spout did not go in first / second time …found that by rotating spout slightly left or right …it then went in sweat as a nut. Cheers Guys

I have tried taking the spout off , but it does not want to budge . Is there a knack of getting these ascona swivels out. Help would be appreciated. It seems you grip and push forward and up , but trying this the sink flexes and you think that you may damage the stainless steel sink and they are made thinner today

I need to replace the whole spout. Presumably it’ll have new o rings on it & will be even easier? No need to turn off the water?

Great how to video, the gap between the back of my tap and the wall is about 8mm so I'm gonna need a stubby Allen key ..could be a tricky job

Hi If you turn the handle (to closed position) you may have better luck trying to undo the screw with the screw on the underside position of the handle, apposed to at the back

Tap Magician thanks for your response. The tap looks brilliant but where it is isn't ideal and it's probably more tricky to remove the whole thing. I get what you mean with the individual handles but if you turn them to the on position the screw underneath will get to the back where the 8mm gap is..frustrating to say the least.

Great video 😊 Do you need to put a bit of silicone grease on the o rings?

When you replace the new rubber seals they need greasing with a suitable silicone grease.

Just to be safe, always put the plugs in the sink. Stops the risk of losing that grub screw down the plughole 👍👍

My tap didnt have the hole in the back so I cant tighten up the little screw!
