You don't actually as long as you don't turn the tap. You will need the water off to change a cartridge though. Best of luck!

Great advice....my tap did not have a fixing screw....however, I unscrewed the tap spout and discovered that there was no washer sealing the unit after screwing down. I have a good box-selection of rubber 'O' Rings and found the right diameter, popped it in place and screwed it down and the leak has gone. Many thanks to Pouse!!

As per your instructions I didn’t turn the water off from mains and when I unscrewed the tap off, it flooded the kitchen. Took one hour to clean up, cheers mate.

Enjoyed the video. It’s nice to see the inner workings of the tap. Before removing the tap I would try tightening the little screw at the back first as that might solve the issue and be an even quicker fix.

Some taps allow you to line it up facing towards you, then pull up but if in doubt check with the manufacturer, I don't want you to break to tap! Best of luck with it.

On some taps if you centre the swan neck, then pull up they will come out. That said, I don't want to be responsible for you pulling your sink out of the work top! I wonder if you can research the brand on line? Best of luck with it and thanks for watching.

I have a big steel cilender box the brass extension is connected so i can remove/exchange tap whenever i want but the problem is water is leaking from the extension i make sure the tap is strictly fix and tight but the water is still leaking should i use tape to fix it?

You could try holding the tap straight forward towards you, then pull up. But careful not top break the tap. If in doubt check with the manufacturer. Best of luck.

I don't sorry but it's most likely the cartridge in the handle. It's whether or not the handles come off and if they do, is a cartridge cheaper than a whole new tap?! Best of luck with it.

You can try applying force upwards with the tap located facing centre, but I would advise turning the water off before attempting this as if it does go wrong, you may get wet! If you know the manufacturer it may be worth asking how the tap comes apart first. Best of luck with it.

Some will pull out if lined up straight. However it's probably worth checking with manufacturers instructions first as you don't want to tear the top off and be left with a fountain in your kitchen! Best of luck with it and let me know how you did it if you're successful.

Thanks. Ended up getting a plumber. The little round metal lever used to turn the mixer on \ off unscrewed to reveal the grub screw. There was a tiny Allen key hole at the base of the goose neck. He changed both the cartridge and the O rings. No more leaks!😊

Maybe check that there is no grit or sharp bits inside the tap where the seal sits. Sounds like it's getting torn or damaged.
