I lived for 9 years maybe a mile away from a General Mills plant--I could tell what they were making by what the wind smelled like. Sometimes it was Lucky Charms, sometimes it was Cheerios.

If I came to you with a big ol bowl of lucky charms and you was like naw man, I’ll have corn flakes instead. THAT is suspect as hell. At least to me it is. So much so that if I had a cereal party at my house and a friend invited his friend, which I didn’t know, and that person said they dont like marshmallows in cereal. I would tell my friend to not bring him around me anymore.

Jada makes some really cool mini figures called Nano Metalfigs. I've got around 200 of them.. mostly Marvel, some DC and other franchises. Not being able to collect as many full size figures as I would like, they really fill the void and they are cheap as hell.

I was actually finishing my bowl of Chocula when I clicked on this video! #TIMELORD! My cousin claims BooBerry was her favorite growing up, but I never saw it that often. We shopped at same stores? I was aware of Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy, but never saw them in StL area? I can only guess cross promotions on package is how I knew of them? There is/was a "Monster Mash" cereal out this year, combining multiple flavors. I know I sold some, but never saw it on shelf as I raced out door before I was locked in for night. Only one other store had any Monster cereals that I saw, and that's where I got mine. I want to say Frank had red nails growing up, but the strawberries are a newer addition? News to me his body IS a strawberry! For display, I would have the second heads out, standing in front of the still in boxed heads. They both look goofy good. Now where are the rest?? btw, I'm not sure who is publishing it, but a Hallowe'en comic has a story this year about a town burning Count Chocula at the stake before a "Man of Oats" Quaker steps in to defend him. Apparently, this comic is a yearly tradition, now?

Boo Berry was ok. I live in Michigan and a lot of the smaller grocery stores like IGA kept it in stock. The bigger chain stores would sometimes have it. Although I do recall it being in every grocery store up until about 1984/1985. After that it was always at smaller stores. Fruity Yummy Mummy was good. They stocked it in my area pretty heavily in the late 80's when they were promoting their new product. The commercials were quite popular too. Fruit Brute was the one I didn't know about until 2013 when they brought back all 5 old school boxes. I bought them and saved the empty boxes. From what I can tell Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy are pretty much the same. Fruit Brute was the 70's and real early 80's (discontinued in 1982), and Fruity Yummy Mummy was like '87 or '88 - 1992. Same cereal, different mascot.

Really enjoyed the comprehensive "breakdown" 😆 of Count Chocula & Frankenberry....seems to be well- represented toy figures...evokes memories of pajama-clad Sat mornings watching Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Hour & Johnny Quest while eating the monster cereals 😊....still don't understand why General Mills didn't bring back their "oat" texture recipe, especially for the monster cereals 50th anniversary- it tasted so much better 😢
