My issue with Lisa in the last episode was she WAS the source of almost ALL of bart's woes in the later seasons. EVERY time he got anything in his life she would come and overshadow it, or flat out ruin it for him, or do SOMETHING so he wasnt in the spotlight or successful. Lisa Maybe grew out of that later, but that doesnt undo the damage she did in their younger years and never admitted to. @@riku3716 ooh man.. Homer could very easily be described as a really good rolemodel, he has tons of flaws... the worst one is his violent nature towards Bart. but he has many more strengths.. he has done so much crazy stuff for his family it's actually crazy... he has sacrificed his dream job to get back to the nuclear powerplant for the sake of his family when Maggie was born. easily one of his best moments of all time. Bart is not lazy, quite the opposite in my view.. i would even argue he is also shown as extremely resourceful if sufficiently motivated. (considering all the pranks he has done towards the citizens of springfield...) he is quite creative, considering all his wild stories and lies he tells to get out of trouble. in my view, Bart represent a certain type of criticism that has been ongoing towards the school system ever since i was a child, sitting down and listening to an old uninterested teacher is not normally great for teaching kids, even less for wild boys in the age Bart is in... while i think it's clear Bart suffers from ADHD or something very similar, his abillity to craft random contraptions and solve complex problems, shows he has an extremely well functioning brain hidden somewhere, But as many others, has skills and abilities that are sadly neglected and not nurtured in other ways than mischief and misunderstood expresions... I find it very possible that a realistic portrait of Bart with his extreme strong ability to "get back on the horse" would find a great place in the world, and not succumb to his flaws... on the other hand, Lisa, being quite opposite, often find herself in odds with people and the world alike, i find it extremely unlikely she ever would be a president, but much more likely if she shared a fate simular to Greta Thunberg... i am so sorry if i come of as a contrarian.. my wish was only to show that i personally see a window where Bart could live a great life.

What I always liked about his character of being a trouble maker was the fact it was always a cry for help help and attention. When you really watch every moment Bart goes through, at times, you do feel sorry for him and can see how much of a piece of shit he is at times. He always does show regret for what he does, depending on the situation if it calls for it. As a kid, I always saw him as the type that just liked trouble, he does, but now I feel bad for him since he really just wants his parents affection and to be recognized for something since he already believes he's an underachiever. I don't really watch Simpsons, but when I heard of the episode, I went to watch it, and was impressed with it. Lisa was very much unaware how her overachieving affected Bart, and why he blamed her for so many things. It's why I would have given Lisa a far bigger scolding over her cheering about her success on Bart's birthday. There's a reason why in my family, we have the rule that the person who has a birthday is King for a Day. Short of murder and rape, the person is to be in the limelight.. I remember one time, it was my bday, and my brother strongly protested over something I said, and my father took him aside and told him that it was my bday, and that I was to be always right, for the rest of the day. Then, it's perfectly fine to disagree with me, and tell me how much of a shit opinion I had. It wasn't unreasonable. the worst part is that Bart while a kid who did a lot of wrongs, always faced the consequences, Lisa, when she screwed up never did. It's why I hate her, and Marge. It's clear the parents have favorites and it's sad because Bart thrives under Grandpa Abraham, it shows that if Marge and Homer at least raised Lisa and maybe Maggie's better half the problems would go away. like Marge was mad at Lisa for not going to college in one of those future episodes, it's proof that the Familly has Bias and that its Marge and Homer's fault, also Lisa telling Bart he is a hell of an artist is OOC as all hell. The last one is still my favourite because Bart has a sucessfull business and is talented with bike stunts and art, he's got that only two years after graduating high school which is really good compared to being a 40 year old screw up with no job like other future episodes, he has his own place, Lisa isn't the president and isn't super sucessfull but is well off, Bart doesn't have a ex who dumped him when he proposed or who cheats on him, and he's not got problems with his kids because he doesn't have them yet.
