My favorite plaice to go. Is Frankenmuth, MI. I been there since when I was baby. When I was 6 years old, start remembering going to Frankenmuth. The lunch looked good. I love going to Bavarian Inn Restaurant, the most.

I had jaggersnitzel when I went there and it was enough food for three people, and it was delicious. The basement had all sorts of cheeses and sausages, so I went wild buying stuff for my family back home in Arizona. I also carried home a bunch of the fudge, I had 2 pounds each of four different fudges. My suitcases were a lot heavier going home for sure.

My friend and i were up there TODAY!!!! If was a Beautiful DAy! We went and got the traditional Family Style Chicken Dinner, too . Then walked around town. Good times!

We have a Bavarian Inn in Bettendorf, IA. It is a wonderful hotel and restraunt that is very similar and serves similar food. We used to go to spend New Years Eve. Always a wonderful time. There they serve three types of bread white, dark and delicious rye rolls. Yum! The food is outstanding.

Always worth a stop when heading north. I love the Turkey Noodle Soup there. The mashed and gravy never disappoints. I can never decide between this ans Turkey Roost in Kawkalin. The basement shop is a bank account killer but the goodies are delicious.

Looked really good ( the food) also the town looks like an interesting place to go. I'm from the south Jersey shore area, here they call the taffy, salt water taffy and there's plenty of fudge shops on the boardwalk ,but that town and restaurant looked great. Would like to visit there.

Hey when you go to Zehnders go to the ZCafe in the basement. Same food just alittle less expensive. We go there and get the family 4 pack its like $40.00, feeds the 3 of us.....all adults and then theres alot left for lunch and even dinner the next day:)

Me and my husband always go to Zehnders instead of the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth. During your birthday month Zehnders gives you a free family style chicken dinner if you sign up for their free membership card! I don't know if the Bavarian Inn does that or not. It's an awesome deal and we get to visit frankenmuth at least 2 times a year. We only live an hour away so it's been our family tradition for many years.

The two restaurants are actually owned by extended families that came from brothers who started the Bavarian Inn. One brother owns the Bavarian Inn and the other owns the one across the street.
