I’ve seen were they have cut some of the scene where the monster is drowning the little girl, I’m 67 and remember seeing the whole scene years ago and it’s pretty graphic

I always wondered what would happen if the brain wasn't abnormal.

Ok so the book by Mary Shelley had very little in common with the screenplay that became “Frankenstein”. While it is a great film, “bride of Frankenstein” is also great. One obvious criticism of the screenplay is that there was no good reason for the monster to have been made of multiple parts of different bodies. This would have been completely unnecessary as the doctor would have had to connect muscle and nerves in a way that was unknown at the time and unnecessary to reanimate life from a dead person. He could have just reanimated an already deceased human. The original book does not have a body created this way.

In the book he actually did stitch the monster together not only out of human parts but also dead animals, it ended up being an eight foot tall monster. Also the movie explains he needs body parts that work so he has to make it out of different bodies, and also he doesn't want to bring back the dead, he wants to create a whole new person
