I went to school with guys like that back in the 80s, and I'm kinda the same age as Mike Judge and from the same neck of the woods as he is. He's so darn good at observational humor . . . everybody knows guys who are kinda like that, but I got stuck with one of them as my chemistry lab partner 9th grade year after the teacher got sick of their nonsense and made them sit with other people. Although he wasn't just stupid, he was actually really stoned too (I think) . . . but he had that Butthead laugh. First time I saw Frog Baseball, I was like, oh snap, that's totally Mitch . . . the little shorts, the metal tee, the deadpan laugh, and the spastic sidekick

The house belongs to Beavis's mom. But they're both just there all the time because both their fathers are absent and their moms are negligent, alcoholic (or maybe even harder drugs) trailer trash rednecks who don't have jobs and sleep around with loser guys and don't care what their kids are doing. Beavis and Butthead's family is discussed at length in the episode they do a school project with Daria. It also changes up sometimes. Beavis' mom is definitely a slut and she's away all the time. Butthead's mom I don't believe is ever talked about. Beavis and Butthead might have the same dad, but they don't. We see in the movie that they have separate dad's, but even Butthead's dad disputes that Beavis's dad scored. So technically Beavis is from a long line of men that never scored, or something. They live in the same house, but we really don't know how. It is Beavis's house though, his mom is just always gone.
