Frankfurt, Germany: Winter Wonderland-Only Sights and Sounds (2)

A very serious and quick snowstorm hit Frankfurt a couple of days ago, which had the city and outline areas in a disarray. Within about 4 to 5 hours only, Frankfurt was pummeled by 15 inches of snow! It was amazing and left me realizing that I haven't seen a snowstorm like this in Frankfurt since a loooong time.
Yeah, this Winter in Germany has been very dominate and unusual considering the past 12 years. Nevertheless, Spring is this month and only a few weeks away on March 20... So, Old Man Winter, you better get it in while you can, cause your days are shortly numbered!

I lived in Frankfurt for three years in the fifties and I don't remember it ever snowing like that. I lived in Munich for a year and it definitely snowed like that there.

I was stationed in nearby Hanau from 82-84. During the winters of 82 & 83 it barely snowed. I would say approx. 1/4 inch of snow (both winters). It sure was cold though.

Thousands of American soldiers were and are stationed in army bases in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden over the last decades. I think your comment is pretty absurd, especially considering it being under a video which is obviously for everybody showing an at least European looking city.

@@CyberlifeBusChannel - Yes, Frankfurt AM is in Germany. I was stationed in Frankfurt - Gibbs Barracks for 2 years (1968-69) and stationed in Mainz (1978-80) and saw little snow there, as well. Lots of rain and drizzle with overcast skies. Still, I loved my time in "West" Germany.
