Celtic are one of two major football (soccer for you Americans) teams in Glasgow, a 2002 away shirt is old and something you might find at a charity store then worn by homeless people. Hence a store detective follows them around as they are expected to steal. This also plays into the Ireland's "religious worries" joke, Ireland is divided between the mostly protestant north who want to be part of the UK and the catholic south who want a fully independent and united Ireland, there are areas in the north that are split between the two sides and it caused a paramilitary conflict in Ireland that was ongoing for years. The two major Glasgow teams Rangers and Celtic are also divided between the same lines as Glasgow was made by protestants and Celtic by catholics. They regularly sing Irish sectarian songs from the conflict in Ireland and provoke each other based on that conflict.
